Our Angel of Mourning Alabastrite Cremation Urn depicts a grieving angel - a common sculptural theme commissioned during the Italian Renaissance period.
Reminiscent of the famous Angel of Grief monument which was sculptured in 1894 by William Wetmore Story for his wife Evelyn, our urn sculpture is manufactured of cold-cast resins, which enables us to replicate the same style carvings as found on the original sculpture.
The original monument is found in the Protestant Cemetery, in Rome Italy.
Upon close inspection of our reproduction, you'll notice feather-painted highlights mimic grain work details, same as found in typical Italian marble.
No two are alike, as our feather-painted replicas are hand made.
